4. Liquid detergent
Blood stains are among the most difficult to remove from a mattress. Apply a little liquid detergent to a damp cloth and place it on the stain, without rubbing.
After 15 minutes, clean with a dry cloth. If necessary, repeat the application two or three times.
5. DIY cleaner
This method is a little more laborious, but it is one of the most effective for eliminating various types of stains from the mattress.
Mix 250 ml of alcohol with 3 cups of white vinegar, 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 3 tablespoons of laundry softener.
Dip a clean cloth, wring it out, and then wipe the entire mattress. Rub more vigorously on stains.
Finally, let the mattress dry thoroughly in a well-ventilated place.
6. Lemon
Some types of stains are more difficult than others, and this is the case with wine. If you have spilled some wine on your mattress, you can try to remove the stains by mixing 100 ml of water with 100 ml of lemon juice.
Dip a cloth in the solution and rub directly onto the stain. Let dry for at least an hour.
7. Ethyl alcohol
To eliminate bad odors from the mattress, mix two equal parts of white vinegar and ethyl alcohol in a spray bottle.
Spray the solution all over the mattress and let it dry for at least 30 minutes. This remedy is especially useful for eliminating bad odors released by some pets.
8. Vacuum cleaner
Sprinkle baking soda all over the mattress, adding more to tough stains. Wait about 30 minutes, then scrub with a sponge or toothbrush.
Wait another 30 minutes, then vacuum the mattress to remove all the baking soda residue and dust generated by the stains.
