Crab cakes
are delicately flavored, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Composed mainly of crab meat mixed with various seasonings and binders, they are often served with tartar sauce or spicy mayonnaise. Crab cakes can be enjoyed as an appetizer, main course or even in a sandwich, offering a refined and tasty seafood experience.
Ingredients:
500g crab meat (preferably fresh, but good quality canned meat can also be used)
1 egg
100g breadcrumbs (preferably panko for a lighter texture)
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tbsp finely chopped chives or green onion
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp hot sauce (optional, to taste)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)
