BRATWURST WITH MUSHROOM GRAVY

For the Bratwurst:
4-6 bratwurst sausages
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup beer or water (for simmering)
For the Mushroom Gravy:
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 small onion, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz mushrooms (cremini, button, or your choice), sliced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1/4 cup heavy cream (optional for extra richness)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
