Ingredients:
- 2 slices of your favorite bread (e.g., sourdough, Italian, or white bread)
- 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast (cooked and sliced thinly)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for grilling)
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce (plus extra for dipping)
- 2 oz fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced or shredded)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil (chopped, optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for added flavor)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Step 1: Cook the Chicken
If you don’t have leftover cooked chicken:
- Season the chicken breast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.
