Creamy and spicy chicken tikka masala, an Indian classic
Ingredients:
For the marinade:
500 gm chicken fillets, chopped
150 gm plain yogurt
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp grated ginger
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
For the sauce:
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp grated ginger
400 gm chopped tomatoes
200 ml fresh cream
1 tbsp curry paste (optional for extra flavour)
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
2 tbsp oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
