Large fried apple pastries

Put the cooling racks on top of baking sheets lined with wax paper. Put aside.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium-sized bowl.
Create a hole in the middle and pour in 1/3 cup of milk, eggs, and applesauce.
Mix gently until everything is well combined.
Mix in the apples.
Heat 1 ½ to 2 inches of oil in a heavy pan or deep fryer until it reaches 375°F.
Put around 1/4 cup of batter for each fritter into the hot oil, spreading it out as you pour.
Cook each side until it turns golden brown, which should take around 2 minutes for each side.
Place the items on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Prepare the glaze.

In a big bowl, mix 1/4 cup of milk with powdered sugar and vanilla.
Dip each pastry in the icing, flipping it to cover both sides.
Put on the wire racks to dry in the air and let the excess liquid drip off.
Remember not to mix the batter too much because it can make the fritters hard.
When frying donuts, make sure not to put too many in the pan at once. This way, they will cook evenly, and it will be easier to keep the oil at the right temperature.

It is important to use a thermometer to keep the oil at the right temperature.

A Dutch oven or a cast-iron skillet keeps the oil at a steady temperature.
