Blockages are not always caused by stagnation of debris in the siphon. A layer of dirt and grease can also cover the corrugated pipe that goes into the sewer. But much more often, the reason why water stands in the sink and does not go away is precisely because the siphon is dirty.

Preparation
First, place a container under the flask – a saucepan or plastic bucket will do. If there is some water in the siphon, it will fall into the container.
Tip: For those who have never cleaned pipes before, it is better to take a photo of the flask so that you always know which part goes where. It is best to take a photo of each step so that you can screw the components back on later.
