Directions:
Prepare the Rice:
Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic (and chopped onion, if using) and sauté until fragrant and golden.
Brown the Rice:
Add the rice to the pan and stir well to coat the rice with oil. Continue to sauté the rice, stirring occasionally, until it turns a golden-brown color.
Add Water and Seasoning:
Carefully add the hot water to the rice. Stir in the Knorr tomato and chicken bouillon cubes (or powder) to your taste, along with the granulated garlic. Stir until everything is well mixed.
Bring to a Boil:
Increase the heat to bring the mixture to a raging boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and add the cilantro sprigs on top.
Simmer:
Cover the pan tightly with a lid and let the rice cook on low heat for about 25 minutes. Do not stir or uncover during this time to ensure the rice cooks evenly.
Serve:
After 25 minutes, remove the pan from the heat and let it sit for a few minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
Enjoy!
This flavorful Spanish rice makes a perfect side dish for your BBQ or any meal. The cilantro adds a fresh finish, while the Knorr bouillon brings a rich, savory depth of flavor.
