Hereโs a simple recipe to make Crispy Pork Belly in an air fryer!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 โ 2 pounds pork belly (with skin on)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp five-spice powder (optional for extra flavor)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Pork Belly:
- Pat the pork belly dry with paper towels. The drier the skin, the crispier it will get.
- Score the skin with a sharp knife in a crisscross pattern (about 1-inch squares). This helps the skin crisp up during cooking.
2. Season the Pork Belly:
- Rub the entire surface of the pork belly with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and five-spice powder (if using).
- Rub the seasoning mixture generously over the pork belly, making sure to get it into the scores in the skin.
