Savory Ground Pork and Cabbage Stir-Fry Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
- 4 cups cabbage, thinly sliced (green or napa cabbage works well)
- 1 medium carrot, julienned or grated
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional, for extra umami flavor)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Cook the Ground Pork:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground pork and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Remove the cooked pork from the pan and set it aside.
